Re: Thetrainline.com
Don;t really understand why it exists- does it actually do anything that the nationalrail website doesn't?

I'm sure most times I've looked for prices, they've been the same on both sites. Are there bargains to be had on there?

What's happened? I use it all the time and have never had an issue. About to book a trip, so if it's rubbish now, I'd appreciate knowing why so I can avoid.

Re: Thetrainline.com
I have always found it to be fine and it does the job well. What's not to like? Apart from the fact that it isn't a nationalised industry. If it was though nothing would work...

Re: Thetrainline.com
I mistakenly bought a ticket that required a railcard so when I called them to fess up and change the booking they said that all they could do was cancel the booking and re book but it would cost me a tenner, the fucking ticket was only 13 quid!

Total inflexibility handed out by some robot stationed somewhere on the sub continent, fucking disgraceful.

So it's you, rather than trainline.com, that is the incompetent party?

ray winstone 12:15 Mon Nov 30
Re: Thetrainline.com
stewie, I admitted my error gracefully and was treated like a fucking idiot, which as it appears I probably am but I thought that they could have dealt with it better.

I've had similar dealings with Virgin Trains and they've been spot on, bent over backwards.

Re: Thetrainline.com
So you made a wrong booking and they didn't bend over backwards to help a pathetic left wing cunt with a sense of entitlement out? Is that why you're slagging them off then Ray?

Really Ray? You haven't read many of his posts then...

Book direct through the train companies then as you say they are much more helpful.
